Anyone got their payment from Uncle Kev yet?

Just wondering if anyone got their $900 payment from Uncle Kev yet? If so, did you get paid by cheque or direct deposit into your bank account? I'm curious when I will get mine as we always claim our Family Assist at the end of the financial year. Will they send a cheque now or do I have to wait until July like I have to do with the Christmas bonus everyone else got? Looks like I'll be having a Christmas in June. Thanks Kev.

My friends (who live in Upwey) just received $3k ($1k for each person in the house) based on ringing a number and stating they had to evacuate their house during the close fire threats in their street....

Clearly they didnt' leave, and claimed to stay at my house that night, although they didnt need to leave any of MY details for confirmation......just a suburb and that's it !

Seemed a little too easy, but they got their $$$ less than 7 days from the day of the phone-call.

Haven't done tax return yet (do it through an accountant so there is still time) but got the family assistance aka back to school part = 4 x $950 - 4 kids at school. Not earmarked for pinball I'm afraid.

I haven't received my nine hundred yet, sometime in April as per media reports. The family payment arrives next week!! however family payment for bills etc

We got ours last Thursday.

Paid off the Credit Card and the remainder to the mortgage. So it's gone straight back to the greedy sods that started the mess - The Banks !

Lowering income tax was the way to go.

Next time I'll just place a massive order with PBR - That will hurt em'

I don't know - I was surprised to see it actually (this early). We are single income and family assist part "B". Our eldest fits the criteria, but my little girl does not (she is 4 1/2 months old). It was deposited directly into my Bank Account.

11 to 20 March 2009

If you get your FTB payment annually:
after you lodge your FTB claim and 2008-09 tax return 

If you would like to change to fortnightly payments you can do so at any time by contacting Centrelink or the Family Assistance Office.

Should be automaticaly, gets paid into the same bank account as your family benifits, we got ours last monday just when back on the morgage
