Trial and error with LEDs - Super brights under the square inserts (100,000 - 1,000,000) resulted in BAD ghosting. Seems to affect the REDS and it is simply overkill. Looks GREAT during multiball, but it is hard to play at night. I used mainly 180s that I used in the GI blue areas. So the Reds are now toned down and I think I've found the right mix. Took a long time to work it out. There's still some ghosting, but not as bad, and it certainly does not affect gameplay.

I upgraded the ROMs and set the game to free play. Played a few games and this game is SUPER FAST. A real blast to play, and I once mentioned how underrated this game is - and I stand by that claim. Much better that the Sterns that came after it except up to (but not including) LOTR. It is a game that MUST have LEDs. The blues are stunning under the plastics and the backglass looks awesome. Flipper rebuilds made a huge difference.

I'm not completely sold on LEDs for all DMDs, but this one leaves me with no doubt. Here's some final pictures - I'm testing it before moving it on.

Very pleased with the final results  ^^^
