What's the up / down rocker switch under the light switches for ??
I was wondering that myself.

As others have said, looking good so far  ^^^
I bet you're busting to get it done & start moving the games in!!

The switch is for a roller shutter at the end of the room, If you look in some of the photos you can see it closed. Nothing special or surprising unfortunately.  %.%

Started painting today.....

Nice sized room.
If you don't want to put games in it you could rent it out.
Fit a dozen or so boat people in there easy!

Ok firstly let me apologise for the terrible iphone shots, i will try to take better shots with a proper camera. As you will see though it will be hard to take photos anyway i think.

Finally finished painting today. This will not be to everyones taste i am sure but it has come out perfect for what i wanted it to look like.

The walls and roof are all in flat paint so there is little to no sheen/reflection. I wanted my machines to be the stand out not anything else. It is actually quite wierd as you can be a foot away from the wall but you cannot 'see' it. When you stand at one end you cannot see the other end! In the dark it is just that, very dark. I have to wait till the end of the week to see it in the daylight (I only saw it wet)

It is certainly different but i love how it has turned out. Anyway on with the pics.......

Without the iphone flash.......

And with the flash........

Yep, everything is black!

Looks great, interested to see it with games in it and see if they really pop out. The only problem I can see with a dark room is if you need to do repairs to the games. I struggle now seeing without a huge amount of light, the dark room would probably cause me major problems, but that's probably just me. Hate getting old.

I think it's going to look great with games in and lit up against the black.

What type and colour of floor covering are you going with?

The black wall and ceiling colour rocks!  ^^^ Very cool.

I know my wife would have me if I attempted to paint out my games room in this colour  *%*

Thanks for the comments, It has turned out to be very dark (not overly surprised by that though) so i may have to look at a portable spotlight for working on machines. Other than that though the lighting should be fine, can always look at that down the track.

Yeah took me a while to convince the missus that having 'everything' in black would look good, even she has admitted that it does look good now. *%*

Hoping to have a flooring update by Friday night, then i should be able to get some machines in over the weekend.  #*# #*#

I always wanted to go full black but since my gamesroom is my workshop aswell I stayed away from it.  Have to get yourself a blacklight in there to add to the effect ;)
