What am I doing? Arcade machines
« on: January 01, 2018, 11:00:11 PM »
I have been lucky enough to score some future projects albeit arcade games. Have a look at these beasts and guess what the dome game is as I have no idea what so ever. Me ol mate mention Molly Meldrum Music Machine or the like.
My furry friend is even laughing at me!

The car game appears to be a Sprint variant in a different cabinet ?

I think it is great to have arcade machines within a collection.

Slowly winning with SORR, scored a WORKING board from "merica and installed.
After all the necessary safety and voltage checks I switched her on and bam, got an image.
Super Stoked to have a working Super Off Road Racer.
So now it is rip down and restore her as best I can.

Pedals have been sand blasted, powder coated, cleaned and rebuilt. Not sure wether I should have polished the chequer plate. But it will be used and abused, not there for its good looks. Steering control panel next, should I put a new overlay on it or just be happy with what it is?  These pics are after the first scrub, they were disgusting and smelly.

Love super off-road, played for hours on PC as a kid. Played a few times at arcade, but back in those days didn’t have much pocket money to waste. It’s cool how there are no end stops on the steering wheels, and playing with two other people is a blast.
It is a game I would love to have in my collection one day!

Depends on whether you can live with the chipped corner of the CP ?  Colours are still good.

That 4 player sprint brings back memories, but I swear it was a black and white monitor.
