Perth Auction Results
« on: August 24, 2009, 01:21:55 AM »
Hi all,

I thought I would put up the results from the Perth amusement auction that happened today.

All up there were 70 lots, of which 25 were pinball or pinball related.
There were several lots of new 60 in 1 arcade games plus the usual assortment of upright arcade games, soccer, air hockey, skill testers and crane redemption type games.
Pretty much everything sold, except a few pinballs that failed to meet their reserve.

The general mood was that everything was overpriced with no real bargains as such.

I have only listed prices for pinballs and/or pinball parts. If anyone wants prices on other stuff then let me know.

1. Backglass Bally HI Lo $160
2. Backglass Wipeout $20
3. Translite Cyclone $60
4. Pinball legs old & rusty about 12 $20
5. Pinball Batman 2009 $7000
6. Pinball Jurassic Park 1991 $4500
7. Pinball Sure Shot EM 1976 $ 2000 worn pf, cabinet rough, was working
8. Pinball Indiana Jones $5750 Very faded on both sides

13. Pinball Johnny Mnemonic $3500 - Failed to meet resrve
14. Pinball Playfield Strikes& Spares $30 - Bare, worn, no inserts, rotting at top, no targets etc

All over priced and some items were just crap.
I cant believe someone bought the rusted, water damage hockey table &^&
Did you bit on anything Chris,i see they got a good price for mousing around.

Got a black spider and Simpson toy for my pinballs but just a bit to big to use as a topper.

Dacis pick them up for me and i think he was having way to much fun with them.

just have to wait to next year for a bargain. :lol

i thought maybe $1500.00 and most of the machines had a dot on the display and some form of problems.

Craig that crappy soccer table got $175 !@#

I was going to bid on Mousin around ( my brother in law wants a pinball for his new garage ) but I thought after discussion with Wonder and Morrieman that maybe $1500 max would do it but it went for twice that. I told my BIL that we will keep an eye out for a Flash or Firepower. Hopefully for $1500 we should get a great example of either of those.

You should be able to pick up a Mousin' Around! for $1500 to $1800 or so depending on condition. It the auction one was decent then $1500 + buyer's premium would get you to $1650 which is a fair price. $3300 is way over-priced! The seller would have been very happy with that result.

Hi Chris
Thanks for going to the trouble of posting the auction results.
Yes indeedy, TOO much emotion, TOO many punters with TOO much dosh, far TOO high reserves (as per last time).
I didn't bother bidding this time around and all my cohorts agreed about the astronomical prices paid.

Yeah, we all know the prices were too high but 90%+ of the people there had no idea what they were buying.
There'll be a lot of happy techs over here for next few weeks.

What did the coffee table look like Chris?

Cleopatra playfield with missing/broken plastics.
What did it look like? Badly made and in poor condition.
Surprised it sold for as much as it did.
Like I said, most people didn't know what they were buying.
