As for the cost.  Everyone is aware that you need quantity to bring the cost down on stuff like this.

There's a reason why titles like JD, DM, Poopeye are not readily available, and that is because the demand isn't really there.  Who wants to be stuck with 100 sets of Demo Man decals.

I agree, but it doesn't help that I have a JD with completely faded decals. I would love to find a source that could print some new decals for me  %$%

BR is a beautiful machine with unfaded decals, nearly all of them are faded to buggery.

Older TSPP's are usually warn around the flipper buttons. Way easier to get the updated side rails i reckon.

Guys, this has been an interesting debate. The Mods/Admins would like members to consider the issue of copyright, and that the forum does not wish to see members selling/offering materials of a copyright nature that are not authorised by the copyright holder.

All members are most likely entitled to reproduce artwork for their own games to restore or preserve them, but simply because someone is prepared to supply copyright material for free does not necessarily stop it being a breach of the copyright.

Please, whether or not you respect the owner of some form of copyright himself (whoever that may be), please respect the rights of copyright owners.  This is serious issue people, so please respect the forum's position in relation to copyright issues.

I do not want to lock this thread, so I ask that we as the high quality group we've proven to be, leave this topic now that it has been debated.

Thanks Nick for covering this for the admins/mods

I can see that these efforts being discussed here will be successful, and then logical progression would be to sell these products to improve the quality of machines for members and collectors alike. But not on Aussie Pinball.

As moderators, we have discussed this and arrived at this decision. It is not a personal decision, but a decision made with the site's best interests at heart.

The site is here for the pinball community, and it does not want to step into territory that affects the business of parties with proprietary interests, be they copyright, trade mark, patents etc.

By all means discuss - in the communal spirit of the site.

Hopefully my comments are understood in context as the ideas presented in this thread are very interesting.

Mate, I moved his question to its own thread over here -

No product is being sold on AP that breaches copyright. Therefore are no grounds to threaten us. It is a discussion thread.
