Oh Brad,

Don't listen to Rod  :lol :lol :lol :lol

He is a perfectionist  *)*

You will be playing Rod's beautiful Bally and Stern pins and he goes 'see that backglass...yeah it's not mint cause it has that beesdick speck of paint missing  :lol :lol :lol

To be honest i'm more interested and critical of how a game plays rather than cosmetics.  With the cosmetics you have to keep reminding yourself that a lot of these games are 30+ years old.  So ya know.

If you have a game that looks the part, but plays like a turd, it defeats the purpose.

I've been looking around for a Flash backglass lateley, but for a bit more money got myself a used Galaxy backglass with a whole machine attached. %.%

I'm getting fussier with machines myself as i go. Gave the Flash playfield/plastices etc. a good clean polish and wax, the thing now sparkles and plays excellent. I also straightened out the coin door (it now opens and closes perfect), and gave it a polish. It's like a different machine.

Did Paul tell you the story about the repro glass he got for Flash?.  Ended up being half an inch oversized and would have needed some serious backbox modding to make it fit.  Bit of a bugger that.

Yep he told me that. There's a Flash glass for sale in Australia, i emailed the company last week and asked for measurements and have not got an answer back yet, so i'll go with the OS option if i decide to go for it. I'd also like to know who bent the coindoor on Flash. Someone lose a comp game and kicked it in?? On second thought, i don't think i want to know, forget i asked. %.%

I picked up the Galaxy yesterday, and for an extra $50, got a Pokie as well!! $#$ 'Magnificent 7' from 1988, will be a christmas present for my mom. It all fit nice in the station wagon. The playfeild has no wear/ballswirl etc. at all on the Galaxy, and the backglass looks really good. It plays great, really fast game.

I'll put some pics up during the week.

OK some pics after i cleaned a layer of dirt and grime off the playfeild. I've never seen Mylar in the flesh, but, i'm pretty sure this machine has been totally mylared, or are all Sterns like this?? Around posts etc. i can see where it has been cut, it's like a type of thin plastic. Stoked the playfield is in awesome shape, no wear expect for a small amount of flipper drag and a few pissy scratches.

Backglass has faded yellow (as Rod71 pointed out), but un-noticable to an untrained eye (like mine) and takes nothing away from the appearance at all i reckon, only a few scratches that are hard to spot also. I'm not going to bother buying a new glass this one looks great, i'll give it a clean.

Oops sorry, posted a wrong picture in there !@), that was a score i got on Gorgar last week. I don't have a photo of the pokie yet, it's made by 'Universal Australia', also has the word 'Pacific' on it, made in 1988. If anyone knows anything about these pokies would be great if you could contact me. The Galaxy resets a bit, but how boring would it be to buy a fully working machine. Sorry about the camera phone, one more photo.....

Gotta be stoked with that.  Looks excellent  ^^^

I'd be happy with the glass too.  Looks good, especially lit up.

are the segments in the ball in play/match display working?.  Wondering if Match is switched off in the dip switch settings  !@#
