Metallica to tour Australia
« on: April 29, 2010, 01:52:37 PM »
Confirmed today.

Metallica to tour Australia in Nov 2010.
Tickets on sale May 13th.

So – I like metal music, I like OLD Metallica, I am NOT a fan of the new stuff.
I am DEFINITELY going to this.

If you have seen the DVD of the concert in France then you will realise they mainly do a lot of OLD songs.
If this was all the newer stuff I would not be going.

Cant wait  ^^^

I like their older stuff prior to the "Black Album". I DO like the "black" album, but not as much as "..and Justice for all" - that is an "all time" classic for me. I'll check out the setlist - I'd love to see them..

Promised the missus next time they toured we would definately go and pay for some decent seats.

My fav album is ride the lightning, and I love all the old stuff, but I also like the new music, their latest album Death Magnetic is great, love the instrumental on it  *%*

I like there old stuff better too.
Wasn't a huge fan of "and Justice" though, band wasn't the same after Cliff Burton died.

Oh – and don’t you just LOVE the way these commercial radio stations like MMM etc are ‘all of a sudden’ playing Metallica songs constantly.
Don’t do it ANY other time of year guys – but as usual they jump on the bandwagon like the stations are lifelong fans.
I bet they still don’t play Blackened or Master on the air but.

These stations REALLY REALLY sh*t me

I think the guys move around the whole stage like their Cunning Stunts DVD so it doesn't really matter, except for Lars I guess.
I've got a DVD of the Death Magnetic concert in Mexico (filmed last year at the start of the tour) but I don't want to spoil the experience so I'm not going to watch it until after I go.

I figured they would a friend bought his tickets the week before they went on sale something to do with his credit card?  When he booked them they said the first show was nearly booked out already.

Great to see "old school metal" bands sell out multiple shows in near record times. If only we could have the quality of 70's and 80's bands again ..
