Think the better way to go Tony would be to get them to pay you upfront for the shipping and your time. I would suggest a minimum of $30 to cover your time and petrol etc.

After receiving the reply from Marcos i thought i would suss them out with how much of a discount they were going to give me on my next order.I told them the postage costs for me to return the package to them was $78.00.I advised that i had an order ready to place with them that the product total was $950.00 plus postage which was $64.00.I asked that i wanted the $78.00 taken off the product total and then to be given my discount on the balance which is $872.00.The reply was can you post the package to HUNGARY as this will be cheaper for you ,what the f..k,they are trying to make it cheaper for themselves. The postage from here  to Hungary is $102.25.They also said your discount on your order would be 10 per cent, but no discount on your postage. So i get to save $87.20,not enough for me on an order that big,and also in that i can purchase the same order from another company for $20.00 less potage costs.Bottom line for me is i am really only saving $67.20,i have charged them nill for my time, and i am holding another persons order worth over $600.00.After i advised them of the mixup i would have expected them to redo the order for the original purchaser and send it to him ASAP,but no i still have it here.I will contact them one more time and advise that i want the discount off my order and the potage to me for free,if they do not agree to that, the package will stay here or they can organise someone to pick it up.

You should NOT be paying anything for someone elses order that your not allowed to keep!
If they dont pay for the delivery and stuff then, keep the order and be stuborn make them get someone to pick it up and pay for the postage!
You shouldn't need to go though this. *.* ^.^

Time to weigh in on this one:

It was their mistake, so they pay for it. If they aren't being reasonable then I agree that they can arrange the pickup themselves.

It seems an odd way to do business if they aren't prepared to look after you properly.

I find it difficult to believe they won't compensate you properly for your effort, honesty, time and cost.

So initially, they wanted the box returned to them. You query them about a discount, and now they want you to post the item to Hungary. So you take responsibility if it does not arrive there (customs in Hungary have light fingers).

I would send an email to them, stating you will be returning the box to their address (Marco's).  You should also tell them that there is a $22 handling fee at your end. So therefore deduct US$100 from your order. When your order arrives, post their box.

If they're going to be pricks about it then I think you should give them your payment details and tell them it will cost them x dollars for you to send the package back to them.
Don't send anything until you have the figure you specified in your account.
They tend to screw everyone on postage so they shouldn't be shocked if you do it in return.

I think the best way to do it is tell them an amount for you to post it back.
Don't bring your pending order even into the equation.
For example if you want $200 to post it back tell them that is how much it will cost and get the money upfront.
Work out the amount of discount you want, cost up the postage add them together and tell them that's what you want.
Work on the way they work, no money, no goods.
How are they going to come and collect it if you don't post it?
Make it hard enough for them and they will write it off, they can only spend so much time on it before it becomes too expensive to chase.
Their best bet is for you to do the running around for them.
What's the worst that can happen, they wont sell to you anymore?

After sending off my final email to Marcos, and stating to them my final terms to clean up their mess, which was that i would not post it to Hungary,i would post it them at a cost of $80.00,i wanted a discount on my order of 20 per cent, and if they were not happy with this to organise to pick it up from me.The reply came back that they would agree to all of the above.I had been thinking about buying a few spare boards for the 2 bally machines for a while,so i will be getting 2 Ultimate MPU boards,2 Ultimate Solenoid Driver boards,2 Rectifier boards,1 Ultimate lamp board  #*#,and i will be saving about $200.00.There was no value in me placing a small order as the discount would not have been much, especially as the original discount offerred by them was only 10 per cent.

I concur. Some folks may have simply hung on to the goods and left it at that. They should consider themselves fortunate with your honesty.
