What Machine/s To Put In a Holiday House
« on: May 27, 2012, 08:52:10 PM »
Guys,

We have taken a punt and started up a self managed super fund and will be buying a small holiday house in Talbingo (foot of the Snowy Mtns in NSW).  We will be making the house available for holiday letting.

I have a short list of machines that I think might be suitable to put in the house on free play but I would be interested to hear your thoughts as well.  I am looking for family friendly machines that are readily available and reliable.  The area has boating/water skiing in the summer and snow skiing in the winter.  Fishing all year round.

So machines that came to mind were Whitewater, Fish Tales, Flintstones, Star Wars (DE), Jurassic Park (DE), Hook.  I might also put a 60 in 1 arcade machine in there.

Any other machines you can think of that aren't overly expensive and good players.  I am tempted to maybe put a SS or even EM machine in there to cater for all ages.  The super fund will be buying the machine/s not me.

go with an arcade machine or two, reliable, very little maintenance

if you can swing it, get a couple of pins too, but leave them at your place

I reckon WWE Royal Rumble pin is a good one to get. Easily a sub 2k game. Maybe a NGG as well. Golf theme and funny little critters

There is a Wrestlemania at the local restaurant/bar/pub unfortunately.

I am tempted to turn the old garage into a bit of a games room but even if I don't there should be enough room inside the house for 2 x pinballs.  I am going to put a Playstation 2 in there as well but I just want to do something a little bit different that none of the other houses up there have got.  48 or 60 in 1 will probably get the nod as well.

Good chance AP members will get a bit of a deal if they ever want to stay as well.   *%*  %$%

Agreed, white water and fishtails, both great games but very different game play, both are also easy to get into, addictive and fit the theme of the holiday house. You wouldn't even care if it rained all weekend with those two to keep you occupied.
