yeah found that out when i was 18 with WD40, I had a distributor cap that was wet and followed the instructions on the can, sprayed it under the cap and on the outside of the cap, turned the engine over and the WD40 burst into flames

Oh i did it very  recently,
Sprayed the score motor with contact clean spray, dropped the Pf and left to dry for a while.. came back and turned on. Score motor turned... 110V contact made with its usual spark and ignited the fumes trapped under the PF.
result was that luckily the door was left loose.. this blew open hitting me square in the nuts with a huge flame behind it...  and dropped me to the ground.
Wife and kids heard the boom and ran to see if i was hurt, i was still on the ground holding me nuts but my trouesrs had scorch marks up one leg.

Pin was undamaged, but if i had locked the door then the PF would have blown out instead... considering it was a new repro, this would have been a costly mistake on my part.

Funny now, but at the time i was sweating that id killed some guys prize pin!

No harm done at the end of the day apart from one pair of trousers

I did another EM on the weekend, it was a GTB Soccer. symptoms where when the start button was pressed the score motor would continuously rotate, it ended up being the ball counter / stepper (not sure if i named it right) needing some contact adjusting.

in 1 hour i had it up and running 

that's another one under my belt
