Its surprising no one has said that Avengers Pro or Avengers LE's are the best looking pins.

(The Avengers Pro certainly does look amazing when u see it in person and I am sure the other LE models will look spectacular as well !)

Another Question -

What Stern model do u think has generally made the most amount of money in its first 12 months onsite all around the world ??  !@# !@#

I would say Simpsons Pinball Party (in its first 12 months) made a killing. Both adults n kids tend to like this pinny.

What are your thoughts -

Best looking Pin ?
Best playing pin ?
Best money earner in its first 12 months sited worldwide ?
Behind every garage door could be a pinball collectors
"Cave of Treasures" 55 in my collection

POTC - Came out in time to piggyback off the hype for Part 2 (2006) of the movie, got some free publicity the following year with Part 3 (2007) and even after the movie hype had died down between Part 3 and 4 instalments (2007-2011) it could still pass as a good generic pirate themed pinball.

That's an easy one - Meteor.

Over 8000 units made during the "golden era" of pinball, when pinball ruled the roost. I remember this was the only Stern on location to rival the Ballys, and I remember the cash box was full on many occasions.

Best looking - Tron- seems open and inviting. Some times, too much on the playfield looks intimidating. The ramps and layout of Tron make you feel like you could ride a light cycyle around the place at high speed.

best playing - I hope it's AC/DC, because I'm waiting for mine. Enjoying Tron however.

Bit of a kid though, any new machine excites me when I see it - except Transformers - too clutterd.

Most Money on site - would have to be TSPP as everyone knows it and reconises the characters immediately.

2. the best playing Stern ever?
- Personally, I love AC/DC. Love the flow of the game and the music goes with it so well. I think AC/DC is probably the best pinball machine I've ever played.

Ripleys is a great game with lots to do. Defiantly one of the better modern day Sterns IMHO.

they sell for *$2800 to  + $3800 depending on *pre-shopped container pin, or + fully shopped unfaded collector pinny.

dont have one (yet).lol
nice pin but. playfield lights/inserts look mad....its a bit of a modern twist on a twilight zone i reckon. that was sterns aim apparently.

dont know how it did onsite ?

** Perhaps AC/DC pins are doing well onsite in USA...anyone heard anything about AC/DC sited income/popularity ??  !@#

Tough call as I haven't played that many.

I will rephrase the question: out of the Sterns you have played, which is the most enjoyable?

Answer: POTC (Pirates of the Caribbean)

You didn't find it too stop start? I like the game but found that every shot except for the monkey shot led to a stop start experience......For me anyway.... <..>

Hmm, I don't recall it as that so I guess even if it was stop/start it didn't bother me!

Ok fresh back from a trip to Grundys/Timezone on Saturday,
Their current lineup is Ac/Dc,Tron,Xmen,Transformers and Avengers. All pro models in guessing.
Xmen and Avengers had shaker motors.

After playing all I think the Avengers is the one I enjoyed playing the most.

Looks good too nice open playfield with plenty of shots.

Rules seem pretty straightforward too, assembling the Team..

Some criticism tho all of the machines had issues, balls getting stuck mostly..

I've played ironman in the states too its pretty good as well.

All that said got home and played a few games on my Williams/Bally lineup and just seem to find they feel and play better..... Familiarity, nostalgia, biased? Not sure why ...

Just my .02c.

 Peter..
