I posted on a pinside thread about a wish not to be like a AC/DC jukebox style so it could be more appealing for non metallica fans, with a response from a guy who has spoken with Borg

"Music will be incorporated different then what it is in ACDC."

this is promising for those tempted by layout and art but not the music

Looks promising to me and I'm pretty happy with that song list too.

Only problem is I want this and an acdc pin now. Why do they keep making pins of my favorite bands  ^&^

They haven't announced pricing yet have they?

It's a thing called Market Research.

"One LE and a Premium and a Pro."

"Pro will be pretty action packed on this one guys"

I still believe there is no need for a Premium, but at least they've cut the LE down to one.

That's good it needs its own "style" the jukebox works great with acdc but this music pin looks to be something new both with design and artwork and I'm glad the pro has most of the goodies.

I actually really like the way the songs were incorporated into the ACDC pin, it was a great way to get the full enjoyment of the whole of the songs.
I just hope they don't do anything similar to Rolling Stones. I hate that there isn't any full songs on that pin, it just irritates me hearing only snippets of each song.
Pins: The Getaway, TotAN, WH2O, Pinball Magic, Banzai Run, Flintstones, Judge Dredd, Lord of the Rings LE, Metallica LE, Iron Man VE, The Walking Dead LE, Star Trek The Next Generation.

Good thing about a feature packed pro is there's no rush to buy I can sit back watch it evolve then make my mind up and yes I hope it has full songs.

would be good if you could go into the settings and change from full songs to backing song sections with more prominent sound effects = potential more sales grabbing those that are not full on into Metallica

Best way to do it. Looks like a great pin to play from the small snippets we have.
Would love an LE, but I am not that big a fan of M ( I do like some of their music )and I am not in the hobby for the $ . More than happy to let the fans of M enjoy this one the top shelf models.
If it isn't broke, it isn't pinball.

I still believe there is no need for a Premium, but at least they've cut the LE down to one.

Really? Example i believe there is a need for it is below!

Good thing about a feature packed pro is there's no rush to buy I can sit back watch it evolve then make my mind up and yes I hope it has full songs.

Well except if he wanted the LE playfield.  %.%

But i love the idea of premiums, you can sit back and bide your time. Play it first to be sure you like it before purchase, even purchase it a year later!

Mind you the last 2 pins there were/are LE's still available well after release, but sometimes there isnt. I actually would be happy with just Pros and Premiums!

The artwork looks like Ratfink hotrod/monster style which is kicks ass imo. This cartoon style artwork really works with pinball.

The pf looks similar layout to data easts G n R, especially the position of the ramps.

Will a Metallica be joining your AC/DC and Gunners ?
Nope, not in a position to add another NIB to my collection this year  !!!
Pinballs in my collection Elvira, Stern Grand Prix, Bally Corvette, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Judge Dredd, Black Rose and Data East Guns n Roses.

I agree. I think you can confuse your market with to many options.
