No problems, I have the ability to do an LCL consignment from China but in reality it just isn't worth the potential saving and paperwork involved.

I really just wanted to clarify that those claiming to be making bulk purchases (>200 balls) directly from you are most likely unfamiliar with the logistics involved, the realities of the supply chain and pre-existing commercial agreements on a local level.

As suggested, I will contact Strangeways (RTBB) for pricing on a bulk order instead.

No problems, I have the ability to do an LCL consignment from China but in reality it just isn't worth the potential saving and paperwork involved.

Wholesalers/manufacturers need to look after their distributors regardless of what quantities a consumer wants otherwise enjoy retail work in dealing with the hardball idiot end user one can find from time to time. Mike has found some in the past and I am sure he'd be happy for someone else to deal with that market as well as him being loyal and true to his word to his distributors

The last time I bought a few hundred balls from Melb, they got delivered by TNT and dropped at a semi trailer depot and picked up from the depot cause any other way is too expensive.

Supporting Mike and his dealers to me is the most important part of it all.
Playing my pins n seeing good quality balls supplied from a friend would add happiness to the playing experience.
It's only a small thing but sometimes the small things count the most.

Some of this thread missed a the fundamental point.  It is irrelevant where the balls are made.  All that counts is "quality, cost and schedule".

Since the product has now been recalled due to quality issues I'd say where they were manufactured has turned out to be extremely relevant.

more for the guys that bought these balls (Homepin brand), it has been brought up on Pinside very recently but couldn't find a announcement on here (AP) that these balls were recalled back in September last year but only from the distributors, so it seems not made public.

the reason I think people need to know is that an aussie recently discovered the balls started to flake and chip apart leaving metal flakes in the game which would damage the playfield and seems more so for games with magnets

So not to rub salt in wounds or rock the boat but it it means damage could be caused to you playfield, so if you have these maybe best to replace with another brand for the moment.

That's the Pearls.. the other type supplied magnetise if your game has magnets so again, not suitable for use
