Thanks for posting the list and pics.Cannot believe some of the prices these machines sold for.Lost World 3k thats $500.00 more than i paid for a Paragon and Joker Poker both in very nice nick,seller must be laughing all the way to the bank,but good luck to him if people want to pay overs for just about everything on the list.

If there was dummying biding from some people in the crowd, and they were getting paid to do this,it just wrong.  and that why i have never brought a machine from a perth auction and never will.Been going on for years.

Those people that did buy a machine, will soon work out that they got riped off and i am sure that they will be telling a lot of people about there wonderful experience.

Should attract new members and hobbyist straight away , Not.

What's the point of having an auction if the seller just bought back most of his pins?
The television ad would have cost a fortune.
Renting out the pavilion at the show grounds would have cost a bit too.
What's the bloody point?
I would've just scared a lot of people off from buying pins.
Most people would expect to get things a little cheaper at an auction. So the rationale would be that "If the prices are this much here, how much are they normally. We're not going to get one they're too expensive."
And I know that every machine had numerous faults, so any one that did actually get a machine is going to be turned off real quick when they discover they bought something overpriced that they still have to spend coin on to have operating properly.
Way to promote your business f*ck wit.

I took several of these to the auction to sell along with the so-called memorabilia being sold at outrageos prices.
Sadly, they had to be withdrawn from the catalogue because they clogged up before the first lot was offered . . .

I don't know about most, but certainly a lot of people think anything on auction is cheap, I used to go to a lot of PC auctions and week after week suckers would pay $50 to $100 more at auction for a pc that they could walk into a store and buy in 5 minutes (with warranty) instead of standing at an auction for an hour.
In my experience popular items are never cheap at auction.

This auction is really no different than other pinball "auctions". Pinball auctions were the birthplace of Shill Bidding before eBay !

Turns out a lot never got sold,Just got off the phone to one of the bidders who won a few pins on the day ,he and a few others in the crowd where on the payroll  
glad I didnt waste my time going

That would explain why there were frequent repeat bidders on so many items. I thought that was going on as did my friend who had intended to bid but wasn't happy to in the circumstances.
