Hey guys,

Well its been quite a while in between posts. I've spent the last three weeks stripping, cleaning regraining and polishing each and every assembly that makes up this game. I have kept as many original parts as possible, while replacing things that were really worn out. All coil sleeves were replaced, along with the flipper coils.

It was a slow process, but one that was well worth the effort.

Just a few photos of the game being rebuilt...

I started with the Pop Bumpers and targets...

Then posts and slings...

Starting to take some shape now...Its amazing how quickly this happens...

Metal guides polished and installed...

Same goes for my old pal Rudy...

Home sweet home...minus a bottom lip (which i will fix)...

Final glamour shot...I think Rudy looks pretty proud here...

Still a few more plastics to add here and there, along with all loom wiring to resolder and clean. But i think another week should see my first game. As always, thanks for reading guys. Shouldnt be too long before a video post of the first game...

Thanks for the kind words guys - And yep white rubber is the only way to go for this game (IMO). I think i'll order some coloured cliffy post rubbers when its finished.

And Rudy's lip will be getting some lipstick, i just had to see how he looks back at home.

When the game is finished, i'll have to have a few guys around for a game or three...not much of a meet though as this is my only pin...  !@)

As always, thanks for the motivational words. Just got the lamp and switch loom back in this afternoon...No errors thus far, fingers crossed!!  #*#

Jeezuz that playfield looks good  #.#

It'd almost be a shame to risk scratching that up by putting a steel ball on it

Excellent job  ^^^ ^^^ ^^^ ^^^

Hi Guys,

Well, my Funhouse restoration is nearing its completion. I spent the last few days soldering and neatening up as much of the loom as possible, as well as polishing up the remaining metal parts.

In between playfield work, i refinished the coin door MartyJ generously donated to my cause. I really wanted this restore to reflect the game pictured on the original flyer, so it was important that i had the door to match as well...

Rebuilt...

Some minor details that add to the whole package...

Once the playfield was back in the cabinet, i was able to get to work...

Ready to go...

Here is the underside of the playfield. I split the three looms up and colour coded the cable ties, so in future i know exactly what im looking at...

With everything wired up, and all tests completed (and passed thank goodness!!) i grabbed the camera to take a few glamour shots.

I still have to install the steps ramp, but i need to rivet the entrance flap first up. If any of the Geelong guys have a riveting tool, could you please let me know if you could help me out  ^^^

Anyway, here are a few glamour shots of the game from various myspace influenced angles  &&

From the right...

Middle...I need to correct that pointing hand plastic too...

Left...

Above...

And last but not least...

Rudy back home asleep...

I still have a few more updates, but just thought i'd post my progress thus far.

Hope everyone is having a pinball filled weekend, like me!

Thanks for reading,

el_timbo

Looks great Timbo.

You might need to put some sunnies on Rudi from the playfield glare!
